Kshatriya Badminton Academy (KBA), Calgary, is the latest chapter in a journey rooted in excellence and passion. Founded by Amit Kshatriya, an NCCP Certified Coach with over 10 years of experience, KBA brings world-class badminton training to Calgary—built on the strong foundation of his successful academy in Mumbai, India, which continues to produce national-level players each year.

Amit’s journey began at age 13 under the mentorship of his uncle, Santosh Kshatriya, a renowned player and coach in India. From dominating inter-school tournaments to leading the Mumbai University State team to five consecutive championships, Amit’s career has been marked by dedication and achievement. He has represented India at the World University Championship and trained with legends like Prakash Padukone, Pullela Gopichand, and international stars such as P.V. Sindhu and H.S. Prannoy.

Was coaching part-time at the University of Calgary, Amit brings his experience and commitment to building a high-performance training environment at KBA—where athletes of all levels can grow, compete, and thrive. Now leveraging that knowledge and experience, Kshatriya Badminton Academy

Amit Kshatriya is a dedicated badminton professional from India with over 15 years of playing experience and a strong background in coaching. Trained under top Indian legends like Prakash Padukone and Pullela Gopichand, he represented India at the World University Championship and led Mumbai University to multiple championships. With over a decade of coaching experience, Amit has trained hundreds of students in both India and Canada, producing national- and international-level players through his Kshatriya Badminton Academy. Now based in Calgary, he continues to grow the sport through his latest venture—Synergy Indoor Sports Center—a state-of-the-art multi-sport facility aimed at providing high-quality training and community access to world-class courts.

I’m Aashka Tanna, one of the proud founders of Synergy Indoor Sports Center. Alongside my partner, Amit Kshatriya, we’ve been working passionately on bringing this vision to life for the past four years.
From the beginning, I’ve played a key role in shaping Synergy — focusing on financial planning, facility design, legal coordination, and overall strategic support. This center represents more than just a sports facility; it’s the result of careful planning, dedication, and a shared dream to create a space where community, fitness, and passion for sports come together.
